SIDNEY W. KILGORE
Mr. Kilgore has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1986, and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of International Trade, and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he is registered to practice in patent cases before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Kilgore holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics from the University of Florida and the degree of Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He attended the London-based Concannon Programme of International Law of the University of Notre Dame, from which he earned the degree of Legum Magister. His academic background also includes extensive studies in Computer Science and Mathematics through the Florida State University.
Mr. Kilgore’s diverse legal experience in the private and public sectors includes service as corporate counsel to companies in various industries, including those in communications, software development, international trade, applied security technology, entertainment, construction, finance, and investment services. His practice includes patent, trademark, and copyright law and litigation, domestic and international commercial transactions, corporation and business law, information technology law, construction law, homeowner’s association law, and local government law. He has taught various international subjects as an adjunct professor in the Department of Government and International Affairs of the University of South Florida, and at Stetson University College of Law.
